We just held my daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception at Sir James vd Merwe this past weekend. It was everything and more that we hoped and Imagined it would be! James, Blessing, Danny and all the staff were incredibly helpful, and the venue just exceptional. The resident DJ, Martin Thomas, is in a league of his own and read the crowd so well! …fun vibes all night long! I would highly recommend Sir James to anyone who wants to have a unique venue for an unforgettable event! Janet Otto
We hosted a corporate dinner at Sir James. The venue was absolutely stunning and all the 3rd party vendors were super supportive. Catering 5 star, AV Tech/sound team 5 star and the staff were friendly and it was good to see familiar faces which means the management team looks very well after their staff. A huge shout out to James!!!
Finally had a favourable day to go and dine at Sir James Van Der Merwe. Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant place! The atmosphere, music, service and everything is why the place is on only open on a Wednesday, and I can understand why due to its popularity. A very retro decoration in what it seems used to be a old warehouse. From scooters to bycicles old photos, world maps and more adorn the place and gives it real character. I dont expect much from any margerieta pizza but this one with the chips was the best I ever had! Would definately recommend the place to anybody looking for a good time and the venue to match!
Such an amazing place. You will feel right at home here. You can see it's a local spot for many people. Really enjoyed our time here.
My time here was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was buzzing with positivity, and I had the pleasure of meeting some truly inspiring individuals. As for the food, I indulged in a delightful poke bowl, and it did not disappoint. The service was top-notch, and I can't wait to return for another visit! 😀
